I upgraded to the new version but now all the tools I used to have have disappeared and I don’t see anything under the “Manage” tab?
Unfortunately some users have reported this problem during upgrades and we are looking into the cause. Rest assured that all of the free tools that were available to you on the previous version are still there. Best advice is to delete the app entirely from your phone (by holding your finger down on the icon until it starts to shake, then tapping on the X that appears at the top left). Then, power down your phone and restart it. Then go to the App Store and download the new version from scratch. After you get back in to the app, make sure you also go to the Settings and hit “Check Now” under the “Updates” section. If you are still having problems, please contact us through the support link at the bottom of the page.
Why do I have to pay for some of the new tools?
Some people may wonder why we have made the decision to charge for some of our tools. When it came down to it, it was an easy decision.
We are physician owned and physician run. It is our primary mission to deliver tools free of B.S.– No ads, no pharmaceutical influence, no corporate sponsors, no directives.
Developing software isn’t cheap. Developing software of the quality that physicians expect is dowright expensive.
That’s it. If we want this platform of tools to continue to grow and be relevant to daily practice, we need to be able to keep the lights on.
How do I go back and change my choices?
To go back and change your answers, from the result screen, first click the ‘back’ arrow at the top left corner of the screen. Then you just need to UNCLICK what you chose initially. Our buttons may behave a bit differently from what you’re used to, but we promise it will all be second nature soon enough.
Why can’t I click on some of the options?
Often you will see valid choices greyed out or disabled. This isn’t a bug. It is done to get you to an answer as quickly as possible with as few clicks as possible. The program has built in logic that will determine if particular answers will change the outcome or not. If they don’t, they will be disabled, even if the choice still seems valid or relevant. You can just skip those selections and move on to the next question or, if there is one, press the “calculate” or “stage” buttons. You are encouraged to refer to the original algorithms to prove this to yourself and if you encounter any errors, please let us know at email@example.com
How do I change settings?
There is a toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Click on the icon that looks like a “gear”. Voila!.
Can I get more tools?
Yes. We are constantly creating new tools. To make sure your program has access to everything that is available, make sure that you have the updates turned on. You can go to the settings menu at the bottom of the screen and where it says “UPDATES”, make sure there is a checkmark next to “Once a week” or “Once a month”. You can also hit “Check Now” to update your app instantly.
How do the In-App Purchases work?
The third icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen displays your current Credit Balance. By clicking this icon you will be taken directly to the screen within Settings that will allow you to “Get More Credits”. You will need your Apple ID and password to complete the transaction. After you have a positive Credit Balance, you can use it to purchase any of the “locked” tools that are currently available. More tools are constantly being created so if you don’t see any tools you like now, make sure that you check back in a couple weeks. Also, make sure you have updated the app within the settings or that the app is set to update automatically.
